📣 CHIPPING CAMPDEN — PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE THE TIME TO VOTE THIS THURSDAY.
This is such an important vote for the future of our town, and I really want people to understand why it matters to all of us.
You should have all had a leaflet dropped through your door explaining the Neighbourhood Development Plan, please don’t just put it to one side.
THURSDAY 20th AUGUST 2026

📍 CHIPPING CAMPDEN TOWN HALL
We are being asked whether we want the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Chipping Campden to be used to help decide future planning applications in our area.
A YES vote supports:
🌳 Protection of 19 green spaces
🦋 More biodiversity and support for local wildlife
🏡 Protecting the character of Chipping Campden
🛍️ Protection for our High Street shops
⚽ Safeguarding community facilities, sports amenities, pubs, meeting places and medical services
🏛️ Protection of our heritage assets
👥 Giving local residents a stronger voice in how our town develops
💷 And importantly, it can help secure additional funding for Chipping Campden — potentially worth hundreds of thousands of pounds over the lifetime of the Plan.
And that funding matters.
It can help support the things that bring our community together, events and traditions such as Camfest, Scuttlebrook Wake, Dover’s Games and other local community projects and initiatives.
Having just seen first-hand what events like Camfest can bring to our town, families together, young people involved, local businesses supported, volunteers giving their time and a real sense of community, we need to protect and invest in these things for the future.
This isn’t simply about planning applications.
It’s about what kind of Chipping Campden we want to leave for the next generation.
The doors are open for 15 hours, from 7am until 10pm, so please, please find a few minutes in your day to vote.
You DO NOT need your poll card, but you DO need photo ID.
We are incredibly lucky to live in this beautiful town. This is our opportunity to have a say in what happens to it.
