YES! What a morning ✨

Powering up the body and the mind at my regular Women-Only HIIT & Stretch class Chiswick!

This morning I led my regular intimate group of women training with me – , your women’s personal trainer & wellness expert, at High Road House for an energising bodyweight HIIT class designed to build strength, endurance, and confidence, followed by a full-body stretch, leaving everyone feeling energised, focused, filled with positive energy, and ready for the day.

Everyone was challenged. They stepped outside their comfort zone and, most of all, had fun doing it!

A special moment was that my sons came along to support me at work this morning. They were incredibly patient while watching the class and even joined in at the end for some burpees! If that’s not inspiring, I don’t know what is 💜

No pressure. No competition.
Just movement, conversation, and that feel-good energy that hits differently when you move in community.

I offer plenty of options and modifications. This class is open to women of all fitness levels and abilities. Come solo or bring a friend — you’ll be welcomed right in 💜

Places are limited and it always gets booked up, so book on the app or drop me a DM to join!

Plus, every participant left with some premium wellness goodies because you deserve it… this week’s sponsors:

Move. Connect. Feel strong. Together.

A few years ago, a stretch of seafront like this would have been something I admired from a distance. Now, it’s part of the adventure. Running has transformed the way I experience the world, turning ordinary mornings into explorations, familiar places into new discoveries, and every mile into a chance to see life from a different perspective.

Come run along the seafront with me from Hove to Brighton and back…sea breeze in my face, waves beside me - perfect start to a Sunday.

Running really has been transformational for me.

I started running because it wasn’t my norm, strength was and still is, but I challenged myself by signing up for a marathon and since it has now become a passport to adventure. Wherever I travel, I now have the opportunity to lace up my trainers, step outside, and explore a place in a way that few experiences allow.

This morning was one of those moments. A run along the English seafront from Hove to Brighton and back again. The sea breeze, the sound of the waves, the early morning energy of the promenade, and the simple joy of moving through such a beautiful setting.

Running gives me a new perspective on the places I visit. It helps me connect with my surroundings, clear my mind, and start the day with purpose.

It’s energising. It’s exhilarating. And perhaps most importantly, it’s a chance to show my children the value of looking after yourself, embracing challenges, and making the most of every opportunity to explore the world around you.

Every run tells a story. Today’s story just happened to be written along the Brighton coast.

I gained weight training for the and I’d be lying if I said I felt like I looked my best when I looked in the mirror.

This is something I don’t see or hear alot of people speaking about but for most people gaining weight during marathon training can be completely normal.

Our appetites increase massively and fuelling is a huge part of the process and part of performance, our bodies need fuel for growth and repair of our muscles and for energy to complete our training.

Our bodies can also hold on to water whilst repairing the muscle damage from our runs. These repetitive runs then train our body to hold on to glycogen in our muscles in order to get us through the next run, holding on to this extra water will make us feel/ look slightly different.

Remember though this is all a good thing! This is our body cleverly adapting to your training, getting ready to carry you for 42.2km/26.2 miles during your marathon.

When I learnt this, I actually felt great appreciation for my body and all that it does for me.

So please please don’t worry about a number on a scale or how you look whilst your marathon training, your body is working FOR YOU! Not against you.

I hope this helps 💝

THE BEST 5 ENERGY GELS TO MAXIMISE PERFORMANCE AND DELAY MID-RACE FATIGUE

Thank you for consulting me as your expert for this article the pocket-sized survival packs that keep you from hitting the mid-race wall.

Energy gels are everywhere at the moment. You’ve probably experimented with them yourself. If you haven’t, they’re essentially an easy and efficient way to deliver carbohydrate fuel during exercise.
Typically, gels for marathon running contain quickly-absorbed carbohydrates (usually in the form of the sugars glucose and/or fructose) which enter the bloodstream, helping to keep blood sugar stable and allowing our muscles to keep producing energy. This, in turn, helps delay fatigue and helps maintain performance.

And they’re more than just a mid-race placebo. A study in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism measured time to exhaustion in endurance running and found that the higher blood glucose levels of gelled athletes gave them the edge. Need more convincing? Another study, in the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, gave gels to soccer players, and found that not only did they increase performance when compared to a placebo, but they also gave the players improved physiological responses, too, helping their bodies better adapt to the toils of exercise.

I, PT and nutrition coach explain how to stop gels from upsetting your stomach.

Broken sleep. Full schedule. Still training.
That’s not fitness. That’s character. That’s discipline.

The 22-year-old version of me trained to look good. The mum version trains for longevity and to last….to last in marriage, in motherhood, at work, for decades.

Different goal. Different fuel. Different kind of results.

Strong women aren’t born. They’re built in moments exactly like this. ❤️‍🔥

Not just for summer but for life!

My top tips to get lean & feel your best ☀️

💪🏼Start your day with a high-protein breakfast helps keep you fuller for longer, supports muscle recovery and can reduce cravings later in the day. This is a very important one I notice a huge difference when breakfast ticks this box.

💪🏼Don’t overcomplicate your nutrition repeating simple balanced meals you enjoy makes consistency so much easier. Less stress. Pick foods you like and repeat.

💪🏼Build your meals around protein, healthy fats, fibre and quality carbs this helps support energy, satiety and stable blood sugar levels.

💪🏼Walk daily increasing your daily movement is one of the most underrated ways to support fat loss, digestion and overall health. I adore walking become obsessed.

💪🏼Combine strength training & cardio. Strength training helps build lean muscle while cardio improves posture, endurance and core strength. I am a strength and running coach so all my workouts have this included in them.

💪🏼Prioritise recovery. Sleeps, stress management and rest days matter just as much as training

Consistency will always get you further than intensity 🤍 Small habits repeated daily > extreme short-term fixes

Comment COACH if you need structure ✨
