A lot of people assume fostering and adoption medicals are designed to catch people out.

They really aren’t.

The aim is simply to help agencies understand whether someone is physically and emotionally able to care for a child safely and consistently.

And having a medical condition doesn’t automatically stop someone from fostering or adopting either. It’s usually much more about how things are managed day to day and whether the right support is in place.
