I love a challenge for many reasons: they push your limits, test your sanity, challenge your stressors, insecurities and fears. The strain is temporary, but the teachings are permanent and powerful. Add in doing it with mates and the experience is unparalleled. I may have struggled to walk for 72 hours after, but my gosh it was worth it!

A few takeaways from the 3 Peaks Challenge:
1. Training is… not overrated. We all massively underestimated how much a basic level of fitness would have helped!
2. Kit checks are essential (boots unused for 12 months + head torches dying 90 mins into a 4-hour night hike = absurdly uncomical).
3. Fuelling matters. Flapjacks and Tangfastics are not (and I should know better), a performance nutrition plan.
4. Get. A. Driver. Fatigue + motorways is not a vibe.
5. Humour is a lifeline—if you can find it, then share it, even in the dark hours. Lighten those around you with it.

All in all, 10/10 would recommend.
3 Peaks: ✅ Over and out 🫡 (until June next year right )

I made this as a story, and it had a huge response, so I think it deserves a spot on the grid!

Today someone said they were worried I’d think they were mental or weird if they said out loud some of the dark or intrusive thoughts they had, and I wanted to hug them tight and tell them, ALL OF YOU IS WELCOME HERE!

When you come to see me as a physio, you don’t have to arrive as the “together” version of yourself. In fact, I’d say the opposite — it’s often the undone, overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated or even embarrassed parts of you that matter most in the room.

Pain, injury, stress and recovery doesn’t happen in a vacuum. They weave themselves into the way you live, the way you cope, the way you see yourself/your identity and the world around you. To truly treat you as an individual, I need to know you as an individual. That doesn’t mean you HAVE to share every thought or detail — but know this: very little is strange to me, and nothing makes you “too much.”

Our superpower as humans is our individuality. The quirks, the messy edges, the way we operate under pressure — all of that shapes how we carry pain, how we process setbacks, and ultimately how we heal.

So please, bring all of you to physio. Every part is welcome. Every part is valid. And every part deserves to be held with care. 💛

Battered, bruised, and bonded to this brilliant team who dragged me round the beautiful Badminton estate on Saturday. Reminded myself I’m reasonably tough but hellishly weak! Upper body work for the final 4 months of the year incoming!

Thank you also to each of these lovely humans for repping my little business; whilst it wasn’t anything massive in some people’s eyes, it was very cool to see my little brand name on all of your tees over the 15KM!

💪 “But I’m on my feet all day!”
I hear this all the time—from builders, cleaners, farmers, jockeys, and others with physically active jobs.

And yes, being active is great—but when it comes to injury rehab or building strength, it’s not the same as targeted strength training.

Swipe through to find out why and reach out if you have any questions!
