Mainline Tattoo studio - from custom designs, small intimate designs to large scale work and cover ups.

We are a friendly family of Tattoo Artists, with a great range of styles, abilities and prices for everyone. Customer focus is first and foremost, delivering above and beyond what our clients request is our main aim. Constantly working hard on developing our art work, sharing and learning from each other keeps us a happy and forward thinking studio. Supporting local Artists in all mediums is also important to us, having a display area to promote and sell these products is proving successful within the studio. So, if you have any ideas that youd like to make into a tattoo, just pop us a message or come into the studio for a hot drink and a chat, we can assure you that our artists will be happy to welcome you.

🎨 WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE STYLE TO TATTOO?

Realism & semi-realism, especially when it comes to intricate details.
Even when working on a bolder piece, Jane says she still loves concentrating on those little details that bring the tattoo to life. 👀

🖤 WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT TATTOOING?

Shading!

Jane loves watching a piece transform from the initial work into a finished piece of artwork through the use of shades and highlights. 🔥

😂 WHAT'S THE MOST UNUSUAL TATTOO YOU'VE EVER DONE?

Jane says the details and shading went perfectly, and she's really looking forward to adding the colour once it's healed.

You know the tattoos… now let’s get to know the artist behind them! 👀

This month we’re putting the spotlight on Kurt — aka Smudge Ink, our Lead Artist here at Mainline Tattoo.

We asked Kurt a few questions… and his answers definitely tell you a bit about the man behind the machine! 😂💀

🎨 1. How would you describe your tattooing style?

Kurt: “Adaptive.”

Basically, if you’ve got the idea, Kurt can adapt and make it work! 🔥

🎬 2. What’s your favourite type of tattoo to create?

Kurt: “Movie or nerdy.”

🎮🎥 So if you’ve got a favourite film, game, character or something properly nerdy in mind… Kurt might be your guy!

😂 3. What’s the strangest or most unusual tattoo request you’ve ever had?

Kurt: “Donald Trump during his assassination attempt.!

We'll just leave that one there… 😂

🧟 4. What tattoo are you most proud of?

Kurt: A recent zombie from Call of Duty.

And if you’ve seen Kurt’s work, you’ll know why this one made the list! 🔥

📺 5. If someone walked through the door and said “Tattoo whatever you want” — what would you create?

Kurt: An 80s-themed sleeve, with ideas such as The Goonies.

Now THAT is a sleeve we'd love to see! 🎬🔥
