Skin Fantasy opened in 1999 initially offering tattooing and body piercing. From the outset the studios were designed to offer a high quality service in a clean, safe and relaxed environment. The tattooist and owner since Feb 2008 (Russ) has now been at Skin Fantasy for over 6 years and is very highly regarded within the area. Some of his outstanding work can be seen in the image gallery. The tatt
oo studio is modern, well equipped and air-conditioned for your comfort. Hygiene is foremost and inspection of the studio and sterilisation room are welcomed. Russ caters for every style and taste in tattooing including cover-up work and custom / freehand. Walk in's are available every Saturday, all other days are appointment only. The customer can call in and choose a design, or bring along their own, go away think about it then simply turn up on the day / time agreed, then walk out with exactly what he / she wanted. There are thousands of designs to choose from by many artists but we also offer custom / freehand tattooing for that exclusive one off design. All tattoo work is discussed with the customer beforehand and as much assistance as possible is provided before the work is started. New needles and fresh pigment is always used for each customer and the new needles are fitted in front of the customer. The tattoo studio is modern, very well equipped and utilises a seperate sterilisation room. Hygiene is foremost and an inspection of the tattoo studio and sterilisation room is welcomed. We use Hospital grade sterilisation equipment, our premises are health regulated, and our staff are all trained in first aid. Because our studio is separate and can be discreetly closed off from the rest of the premises, you can be sure that whatever the nature of the work to be carried out it can be done in the uppermost of privacy. A seperate sterilisation room is utilised in order to sterilise all instruments. This also reduces the amount of clutter within the studio, providing a spacious environment for your tattoo to be performed. A state of the art vacuum autoclave is used to sterilise all non disposable tools, machine tubes, grips etc. Tattoo needle assemblies are autoclaved prior to use and are NOT reused. All instruments are individually packaged before sterilisation. Only a vacuum autoclave can sterilise wrapped instruments. Once packaged and autoclaved they remain sterile for up to one month. Prior to being placed in an autoclave the non disposable instruments are soaked in a hospital grade disinfectant then rinsed and placed in an 'Ultra-sonic' cleaner for 30mins to remove any stubborn matter and then rinsed again. The instruments are then dried and placed in sterilisation pouches before being placed in the autoclave.
