A huge thank you to Lisa and her colleagues for their incredibly generous donation to We Are Aware in memory of Paul.

Paul, a former work colleague of theirs and a much-valued member of the We Are Aware community, sadly passed away in May following a long period of sustained health issues

Paul was a gentle and considerate soul who was greatly appreciated by everyone in the We Are Aware community. His kindness and presence will be remembered fondly.

Our thoughts remain with Paul’s family

Therapeutic activity comes in many forms!

We had another great day at our Garden Project yesterday in Nailsea.

Starting with another Tai Chi session provided by Claire. The feedback has been amazing with Tai Chi being an accessible way to engage with relaxation for some who may struggle with meditation or mindfulness- the whole-bedy involvement in a "do what you can" inclusivity making a perfect start to the day.

Followed by some seated Yoga and breathwork to round off a calming morning, before some hearty gardening, connections and conversations over a cuppa.

Then our regular Walk&Talk to add in some gentle exercise in the park

And the day rounded off with a visit from Sadik Al-Hassan MP -taking questions from some of those we support and taking interest in following up on individuals' experiences and difficulties they face.

Continued thanks to Scotch Horn Leisure Centre and North Somerset Council ;and to Claire and Nicola for the Tai Chi and Yoga; and Sadik for taking the time to join us; and for all those that came along throughout the day to get involved.

A wonderful day out for some of our peer community in Glastonbury last week. Taking in Chalice Well gardens, a hearty walk up to the Tor for the adventurous, and still time to take in the shops and lunch.
Many thanks to Nailsea and District Community Transport and driver Chris for taking us, and for Chalice Well for being so accommodating.

An ever-changing space of colour and growth- our garden space project in Nailsea is a great space for our peers to come along and w**d, plant, clear, fix, build, but also to come along and enjoy the serenity and calm- and the more gentle shady sunshine
