Yes life turns upside down, and sleepless night, becoming a mum is tough but one of the most rewarding jobs their is.
Our hormones, our bodies chemicals and even our grey brain matter changes. Our brain ‘prunes’ and change to boost empathy and attachment to the baby which is incredible.

I was always unsure if I wanted children and now I can’t believe I ever felt that way. I am more relaxed, (still busy) but in a different way. Yes my brain doesn’t work as quickly anymore with work related tasks and just generally getting words out! But I feel so different, a new, improved version of me.

I still take days to respond to messages and I still forget important dates but now it’s because I am busy enjoy life with my little cheeky monkey and I have restructured what is important to me.

During our post natal MOT and pelvic health assessments we may use both external and internal pelvic floor assessments to help us understand what might be causing your symptoms.

One assessment tool used is the POWER score which looks at the strength, endurance and coordination of your contractions. Results help us build an individual exercise program for you.
So let us help you take control and POWER up your pelvic floor!

(Internal assessments are optional, and not an essential part of post natal MOTs)
