Yesterday I tried something a little different and attended an Easter macramé workshop hosted by Cath from Studio 9 Ribble Valley 🧶🐣

I had a fab time! The photos show a little bit of my work in progress and the end result 🐰

There’s something really special about sitting down with a lengths of cord, learning knots, and slowly watching something take shape in your hands.

Crafting can be surprisingly powerful for our wellbeing.
When we’re making something with our hands, our minds naturally slow down. We focus on the rhythm of the knots, the texture of the cord, the next small step in the pattern.

That gentle focus gives our brains a break from the constant stream of thoughts, worries, and ‘to do’ lists that usually fill the day.

Wellbeing benefits of crafting:
✅ gives your brain a break from constant stream of thoughts
✅ brings about a sense of accomplishment
✅ builds your confidence and reminds you of your capabilities
✅ working with our hands is very grounding
✅ crafts pull you back into the present moment

Give Cath a follow for more photos and details of future workshops studio9ribblevalley

Exciting news ☀️ those of you who have read March’s Newsletter might already know about TC Yoga CIC (Community Interest Company) and our first project funded by Hyndburn & Ribble Valley CVS & ICB.

Yoga has always been about ‘community’ for me. I always intended to be able to provide free/subsidised sessions for everyone & create nice things for local people to do together. TC Yoga CIC means that we can now apply for funding and grants.

There are 10 spaces left for ‘Mindful Movement’ starting in April (all info on image), if you or someone you know would like to try something new & connect with others in a space focussed on wellbeing, please send an email to: [email protected]

The sessions are for people living in Hyndburn or the Ribble Valley who are over 55. All equipment will be provided, including your own yoga mat to keep.

If you would like to get in touch about other opportunities & collaboration, please get in touch on the same email above 🧡

Love this diagram from Dr Juliet Young. Especially useful as we head closer to exam season.

On International Women’s Day, I celebrate the privilege of meeting and working with resilient and inspiring women 😍

I find it a humbling experience witnessing their courage to navigate challenges and heal from past wounds.

Here’s to honouring the resilience and brilliance of all the amazing women I’ve worked with, whose stories continue to inspire me and shape my practice 💕 this poem is for you 💫✨

Exploring the historic charm of Castlefield Viaduct , a sky garden and pocket of nature in the heart of MCR 🌺🍃🌷
And whilst I was there, capturing some shots with my new camera. Every corner tells a story 📸🏰✨🚆🍃 🥾
