Honeymoon mode is now fully engaged!!!
While we have every intention of throwing ourselves, sombreros first into relaxing in the Mexican sun, we never 100% shut off.
We'll still be happy to respond to the odd WhatsApp, message or email..
The speed and/or coherence of our responses will directly correlate to how many Mojitos or Tequilas we've consumed at that time!!

As my fancy new Go Pro gimbal with AI tracking arrived, I thought I'd give it a little test run, following me about the workshop while I cracked on with today's nice little 1x11 groupset swap and service :)

Another little classic restoration today.. lovely old skool Raleigh, sold to my customer by a "2nd hand bike dealer" apparently serviced and ready to ride.. however, with rusty cables, a slipping shifter ratchet and worn cassette, meaning the chain skipping under pressure 🤦🏼‍♂️
Such a shame that it wasn't originally given the care it should have had in the 1st place 😔
Many more years of life put back into it now 👌🏻

I'll aim to run another class later September/early October 👌🏻

They're back..
I have 2 spaces left on my next maintenance class on Tuesday 26th August at 6pm
The class will cover:
Basic setup of gears and brakes
General bike maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and care.
Replacing inner tubes at home and on the trail.
Emergency repairs to get you home.
Bike product and equipment advice.
£25.00 per person.
A beer or squash and biscuits will be included 😉

These things are never straight forward jobs.. some "creative modification" was required to get it to fit.. but I'm rather pleased how well this went 👌🏻

Don't leave it until the last minute to replace those chains!!I've written off 4 cassettes along with the chains so far ...

Don't leave it until the last minute to replace those chains!!
I've written off 4 cassettes along with the chains so far this week..
It might not seem logical, but you should be replacing your chains when they reach 50%-75% worn..
As your cassette wears to your chain.. it will continue to wear to the full extent.. saving a small few £ by getting the full use out if the chain, will end up costing you more in the long run as you'll have to replace the cassette each time too.

When parts turn up from your supplier and you're gutted it actually IS what you ordered 😅😅
