The C-Card is a confidential scheme that provides young people with a C Card which entitles them to FREE condoms plus access to sexual health information, advice and support.

Our service offers this provision to those aged 16 & above.

Shingles vaccine now available at walk-in Roving Healthcare clinics

PCL is pleased to announce that the shingles vaccine is now available for all eligible people at walk-in clinics on the Roving Healthcare Units (RHU).

This provides an additional, convenient opportunity for eligible patients to access the vaccine in community settings, supporting our collective efforts to improve uptake and reduce inequalities.

The RHU clinics are happening across Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire on a walk-in basis, with no appointment necessary.

The shingles vaccine helps protect eligible people against shingles. It’s recommended for all adults turning 65, those aged 70 to 79 and those aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system.

If you turned 65 before 1 September 2023, you'll be eligible for the shingles vaccine when you turn 70.

The RHUs will be delivering the shingles vaccination alongside other NHS recommended vaccines.
