🍂☀️ Summer is coming to an end!☀️🍂

With the kids heading back to school next week, I just wanted to say a big “thank you” for bearing with me over the summer while I dropped down to 4 days a week. It was really lovely being able to spend some extra time with my little girl during the school holidays, and I really appreciate everyone's understanding while we enjoyed some precious family time. ❤️

I hope you've all had a lovely summer and managed to enjoy some sunshine (and I don’t just mean the 5 heatwaves!).

From next week, normal working hours resume and I'll be back to 5 days a week! 👣

As we start heading into the cooler autumn days, it's a good time to think about getting your feet ready to swap the sandals for those cosy autumn boots. 🍂🥾

If your feet have been enjoying a summer of sandals, bare feet and lots of walking, now is a great time to give them a little TLC before they're tucked away in socks and boots again!

I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual routine and seeing lots of you over the coming weeks 😊

I arrived back in the UK the early hours of this morning after a much-needed holiday with my family 🏖️✈️

I’ve seen lots of calls, messages and emails on my phone since I’ve been away and I will be getting back to everyone over the next few days 👣

👣✨ Thickened Nails ✨👣

I've seen so many thickened nails this week, I thought I'd do a little information post!

Thickened toenails are very common, especially as we get older, but they can affect people of any age.

There are lots of reasons why nails can become thickened, including:
• Previous trauma or injury to the nail
• Fungal nail infections
• Repeated pressure from footwear
• Certain medical conditions
• Natural ageing

Whilst thickened nails can sometimes be a cosmetic concern, they can also cause discomfort and lead to problems if left untreated. As the nail becomes thicker, it can create increased pressure on the nail bed and surrounding tissues, making shoes uncomfortable and, in some cases, leading to skin breakdown or ulceration.

The good news is that your Foot Health Practitioner can help. Using specialist equipment, thickened nails can be safely reduced and thinned down, helping to relieve pressure, improve comfort and make nails much easier to manage.

If you're struggling to cut your nails, they're becoming uncomfortable, or you're simply concerned about them, don't ignore them. See you local FHP. Your feet will thank you! 😊

📚🦶🏻Today is a learning day for me! 🦶🏻📚

I'm attending The Primary Care Show today and tomorrow, taking the opportunity to learn from a range of lectures and discussions covering feet, foot conditions, patient care, and the latest developments in treatment.

👣 As a Foot Health Practitioner, continuing professional development (CPD) is an important part of what I do. It helps me keep my knowledge up to date, stay informed about new research and treatment approaches, and ensure I'm providing the best possible care for my patients.

👩🏻‍🎓 There's always something new to learn in foot care, and I genuinely enjoy taking the time to expand my knowledge and skills. The more I learn, the better equipped I am to help the people who trust me with their foot health.

Looking forward to a couple of interesting and informative days!

✨👣 New chair day! 👣✨

If you’ve been to see me in clinic recently, you’ll know just how excited I’ve been about finally getting a new clinic chair 😂

I’ve also had a little move around in the clinic, added some bits to the walls, and given everything a freshen up, so I’m all set and ready for patients this week.

It’s starting to feel nice and cosy, and I’m hoping my patients feel the same!
