A week with the Wild West… 💚🌿
We arrived from different parts of the West Midlands and somehow became affectionately known as the Wild West tribe 😂
What a week it has been.
We laughed—proper belly laughs. We cried. We played, shared, listened and allowed ourselves to be seen. We delved more deeply into the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors while learning practical skills, working together and discovering just how much nature can teach us when we slow down enough to notice.
The week was abundant with connection, vulnerability, creativity, challenge and joy. There were muddy faces, woodland crafts, ropes, shelters and moments of complete silliness—alongside conversations and experiences that reached somewhere much deeper.
I’ve returned home feeling incredibly grateful, inspired…and, if I’m completely honest, absolutely exhausted 😂 But it is the good kind of tired—the kind that comes from giving yourself fully to something meaningful.
This experience has brought even greater clarity to what The Quiet Wild Within is becoming.
I want to create spaces where people can step away from the noise, feel safe enough to soften, reconnect with themselves and others, learn, play and remember that they belong in nature. Spaces where laughter and tears are equally welcome, and where something beautiful can grow through shared experience.
This week wasn’t simply about learning new skills. It showed me more of the path I’m walking—and the kind of retreats and therapeutic outdoor experiences I hope to offer in the future.
To my wonderful Wild West tribe: thank you for the laughter, the tears, the trust and the memories. What a privilege it was to share this week with you. 💚
And thank you for holding such a rich and meaningful learning experience.
The wild is calling—and I’m beginning to understand where it is leading me. 🍃
