We continue to receive good feedback about the email service that we have been using so feel free to get in touch and register for that. The NHS App should also show when your prescription is ready if you have that.
This works well for patients as you’re not wasting your time searching for prescriptions. Our turnaround is pretty fast at present, but it is important to remember that we can only start working on your prescription when it arrives with us. And this isn’t always as soon as patients think so we’d recommend ordering when you have a week or slightly more left.
Ideally each adult patient should have their own email address registered so you know who the alert is for, but if only one person uses email then that email address is fine. Please make sure that you have permission to receive alerts for another adult before registering.
We will never bombard you with emails, but the system also has the ability to notify patients when things like flu jabs are due etc. which may come in handy later in the year.
