⭐️Date for your diary! ⭐️Wednesday 24th June⭐️

Really excited to share that we are hosting the first of two “speak to a specialist” days whereby you can book protected time to talk to us about your child’s experiences and to see support and guidance - because let’s be honest, no one tells you how to navigate the school systems or how to know what support you might need moving forward. These session will be 45 minutes at a significantly reduced ed rate for consultation, and will be held virtually. We will be running them from 9:30- 9:30 pm! So you can select a time that works best for you.

At Sensational Minds, we pride ourselves on involving your child’s school throughout the assessment process. In fact, our service is built on bridging the gap between assessment and education so that recommendations are meaningful, supportive and practical within the school environment.

As schools close for the 6 week summer break, we do need to make contact with schools before the end of term wherever possible.

If you are considering an assessment for your child over the summer holidays, we encourage you to book in soon so that we can liaise with your child’s school before they break up. This helps ensure that your assessment process runs as smoothly as possible.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies to anyone who has recently contacted Sensational Minds through our website enquiry form and did not receive a timely response.

Following a recent website redesign, we became aware of an ICT issue which meant enquiries submitted through one of our email inboxes were not being received correctly. As soon as this was identified, we acted immediately to resolve the issue and the inbox is now fully operational and actively monitored.

We completely understand how important it is to feel heard and supported when reaching out for advice or assessment enquiries and we are truly sorry for any frustration or upset this may have caused.

We are also currently upgrading our phone line system so that all callers will now be able to leave voicemail messages ( as we are also aware that this is not the case for all callers) allowing us to respond more effectively and ensure no enquiries are missed moving forward.

As a small and growing team, we are continually working to improve our communication and support systems and we are also pleased to share that additional administrative support will be joining us at the end of May.

Today was a day of training.

A day of listening, learning, reflecting and thinking deeply about how we can continue to support neurodivergent young people and adults in ways that genuinely make a difference.

Why does post-diagnostic support like this really matter?

It matters because a diagnosis should never be the end of the journey.

For many people, receiving a diagnosis can bring relief, validation and understanding. But it can also bring questions, overwhelm, uncertainty and the realisation that support is still needed to navigate daily life, education, work, relationships and identity.
It matters because school and workplaces need guidance to truly understand and support neurodivergent needs.

It matters because neurodivergent people deserve more than a report. They deserve connection, understanding, practical strategies and spaces where they feel safe to be themselves.

Training allows us to keep developing services that are compassionate, evidence-informed and genuinely person-centred.

We never stop learning because the people we support deserve the very best from us.
