Discover the benefits of chair yoga. Increase your flexibility and range of movement, build more strength and better coordination.

Improve mental focus, reduce stress and tension and sleep better. Gentle, mindful movement has been found to reduce chronic pain by prompting the body to release natural endorphins.

Everyone is welcome. Perfect for those of you who struggle with mobility and find it difficult to get up and down from the floor in a traditional yoga practice, or if you would just like to start some gentle movement. Option to practice some forms standing if you choose to.

Join our lovely community at Weeley Village Hall every Monday from 4-5.30pm.

Relax after your practice with a cup of tea, biscuits and warm friendly chat. Only £10 per session.

I have 3 spaces left!

I teach slow, mindful yoga to help build a resilient nervous system, noticing inner sensations to foster a deeper sense of grounding and connection with your body and those around you.

When we can connect with ourselves and feel grounded we go out into the world and connect with others from a place of grace and understanding.

I have space for some 1:1s or if you'd like to share the cost bring a friend.

I have a new Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra class (40mins yin, 20 mins Yoga Nidra) in Gt Bentley on a Monday

And a new classes starting in Brightlingsea in August.

Message me if you would like to know more.

I just love this ... sent to me by one of my students.
A Harvard study in December 2025 showed that how we speak to our bodies and about our bodies has a profound effect on our health and wellbeing ❤️🔥

We did kinda know this but wonderful that it has been researched and proved. 💃🌻

Did you know that being more connected to your breath tells your nervous system you are safe.?

Allow your breath to guide your practice... let your breath begin and your body follow with movement.

Your breath will tell you where your body is moving too deeply; it might be shallow, choppy or tightly held. Noticing your breath in this way is an opening to explore your body more deeply.

Maybe explore lengthening your exhale in an asana over a few breaths ... does your body move deeper?

What does it feel like to slow down your practice?

Learning chair yoga for seniors alongside mat asanas makes for a slower paced class.

Those who are more able bodied on the day can practice more forms on the mat if they choose or stay in the chair. Perhaps you are recovering from an illness or injury and would like more flexibility in your yoga practice.

Each practice can be different; some weeks could be sitting in the chair for the whole practice, using the chair as a prop or spending more time on the mat.

Because life is not always one thing, and being flexible in your yoga practice and how you practice is a mirror of life off your mat.

I think making Yoga accessible and adaptive for those who would like to practice is important.

Practicing yoga isn't about mastering the poses; it's about discovering comfort, strength, peace and connection in your own body.
Every breath, every movement can teach us resilience and acceptance of ourselves.

I have a few 1:1 slots available. If you thought you couldn't practice yoga, or are worried about attending classes we can practice together. I utilise props, chairs, blocks, blankets, bolsters.
We can make a practice for you and your body.

We can practice different pranayama ... learn the importance of conscious breathing, yoga nidra, chanting. That's an option too.

Feel free to connect with me, ask questions or arrange a phone call. No obligation to book a session.

Warmest wishes

Gail 🌻
