💉 ‘Filler, Explained’ - Part 2✨

Can we talk about one of the biggest worries I hear when someone is considering filler?

“What if something goes wrong?”

Honestly, I completely understand why people feel nervous. If you’ve researched filler, you may have come across the term vascular occlusion, or VO.

A vascular occlusion can happen if filler enters or compresses a blood vessel and affects the blood supply to the surrounding tissue. It’s an uncommon but serious complication, and it’s something every injector needs to be able to recognise and manage appropriately.

This is why who you choose to treat you really does matter.

For me, filler isn’t simply about creating a lovely result. It’s about understanding facial anatomy, using careful clinical judgement and making sure you understand the potential risks before deciding whether treatment is right for you.

Certain hyaluronic acid fillers can also be dissolved if clinically necessary, but no aesthetic treatment is completely risk-free.

It’s easy to focus on the front facing before & after, but swipe through and look at what happens when we change the angle, gently move the cheek and tilt the head forward.

POV: You’re expecting this to hurt...😫

I offer this treatment to my clients every week and when it came to choosing a treatment for my own face, I chose it too.
