There is a massive difference between being allowed in the room and truly feeling like you belong there.

We wanted to close out our Learning Disability Week celebrations with this brilliant photo. When you look at the smiles alongside our RISE balloons, you see what true belonging looks like. When people are embraced by a supportive community, it completely shifts how they see themselves and how the world sees them.

Sometimes, truly "seeing" someone means recognizing exactly what they need in the moment to feel safe, confident, and capable.

In this photo, you can see the beautiful dynamic of trust and patience during our adapted sensory play. Whether it's guiding a hand to catch a beach ball or offering a steadying presence, our incredible staff and volunteers meet every single participant exactly where they are.

People often look at RISE and think we are just about physical exercise. The reality is that our sessions are about so much more—they are a vehicle for genuine human connection.

We love this photo because it perfectly captures a moment of pure, shared celebration. As we continue celebrating Learning Disability Week, we want to highlight our adapted Seated Sports sessions. This incredible photo shows exactly what happens when you remove barriers. This year's theme is "Do You See Me?" and our mission at RISE is to make sure the answer is a resounding YES.

We had an absolute blast at the Bluebird Care - Colchester/Tendring/Braintree/Uttlesford coffee afternoon this week where we delivered a session to some to their customers and staff who were all in tip-top form!
