🤔💖 Perhaps we don't always find our way home….... perhaps we remember........
Last week I visited Avebury Henge (my second time) with some beautiful soul sisters, and once again, I was reminded just how deeply a place can move you. 🙏
It had poured with rain all day. But the moment we stepped out of the car, the clouds parted and the sun poured down on us. ✨
We walked amongst the ancient stones beneath a dramatic sky, found beautiful wishing trees, and were even gifted a rainbow. 🌈
But there is something about Avebury that I find difficult to put into words.
The energy there feels different. It feels familiar.
Almost as though my body knows something my mind doesn't.
As though something within me whispers,
“You remember this.” 💫
I took this photograph without really thinking much about the shadow I was capturing.
But when I looked at it afterwards, it felt like such a beautiful metaphor.......
My shadow, cast upon something ancient.
The part of me that exists in this lifetime, standing against something that has witnessed thousands of years come and go. 🤯✨️
And perhaps that's what happens when we return to ourselves too.
We don't always have to become someone new.
Sometimes the journey is simply peeling away the layers of who we've been told we are, becoming quiet enough to hear ourselves again…
and remembering the parts of us that were always there. 🤎
Maybe that's why certain places, people, practices or moments feel strangely familiar.
Maybe something within us recognises them before our conscious mind can explain why.
Perhaps we don't always find our way home.
Perhaps, sometimes, we simply remember. 🌿✨
Have you visited Avebury Henge? What was your experience of it? 🙏
