Our first quiz night was an amazing success with 20 women attending!

We only got through 7 of the 10 rounds I’d prepared, so there were definitely too many questions.

Next time they’ll be less questions and more time to have a good chat and meet new people, as well as the quiz.

The winning 🥇 team got some nice chocolate and sweets, the losing team shared a small bag of munchies 🍫

Then our raffle was won by Elaine, which was a beautiful storm lantern 🏮 with 4 sides of fused glass pieces, handmade by Sparkly Place Fused Glass and the amazing Ruth and her daughter! Thank you so much for kindly donating this amazing prize 🏆 x

We also had second and third raffle prizes donated by Vivienne, thank you 🙏 Gerry won a bottle of red wine 🍷 and Ruth won a brilliant tile x

🙋‍♀️ So the question is, would you like to do it again?

✨ We’ve got some super exciting things starting this Monday at CreateNChat! ✨

First up, we’ll be creating collage postcards for an upcoming exhibition at the The Minories.

Every postcard entered will be displayed as part of the exhibition, and there’s no theme, which means you have complete creative freedom to make whatever collage inspires you. Whether it’s colourful, meaningful, abstract, funny, or personal – the choice is entirely yours! 🎨✂️

We’ll also be starting our beautiful flower wreath projects. These will run over several weeks, giving those who enjoy a longer, more in-depth creative project the chance to take their time, develop their skills, and create something truly special. 🌸🌿

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just fancy trying something new, we’d love to see you there.

So many women grow up being taught — directly or indirectly — to stay small.
Be agreeable. Be quiet. Don’t take up too much space. Don’t be “too emotional”, “too loud”, “too ambitious” or “too much”.

We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace, avoid judgement, make others comfortable, or simply to fit into spaces that were never designed with us in mind.

But here’s the thing… the world doesn’t need less of you.
It needs women who speak up, laugh loudly, set boundaries, chase joy, support each other and stop apologising for existing exactly as they are.

You are not here to make yourself smaller so others can feel bigger.
Take up space. Your voice, your energy, your kindness and your presence matter more than you realise. ✨
