£40 microneedling vs clinical microneedling… they are NOT the same 🤷‍♀️

I’m going to say it — because I see this all the time 👇
A lot of the £40–£60 “microneedling” treatments you see advertised locally are not designed to actually change your skin long-term.

They’re designed to:
– feel nice
– give a temporary glow
– bring you back regularly

And there’s nothing wrong with that…
But it’s not the same as clinical microneedling.
True microneedling is controlled skin injury.

Done at the right depth, in the right areas, using the right device for your skin concern.
When it’s done properly, it can:

✔ stimulate real collagen
✔ improve scarring and texture
✔ strengthen your skin over time

When it’s done too superficially or incorrectly?
You’ll get:
– a short-term glow
– no real long-term change
– and often irritated, reactive skin

I’m not saying those treatments are “bad”…
I’m saying they are not the same thing.

If you want a pamper and a glow → perfect 🤍
If you want actual skin improvement → you need a different level of treatment.

And that’s exactly why I’ve structured my microneedling treatments the way I have 👇

Please stop buying microneedling pens off Temu 😩

I get it… you see the same microneedling pen I use in clinic for £40 online and think:

“Why am I paying for this professionally?”
But here’s the truth 👇

These at-home pens?
You have no idea what you’re actually buying.
– no proper quality control
– no guarantee on needle depth or consistency
– no sterility
– no training on how to use it

And microneedling is NOT just “rolling something over your skin”.
It’s controlled injury.
Done at the right depth.
In the right areas.
With the right technique.
Get that wrong and you’re not “boosting collagen”…

You’re creating:
❌ inflammation
❌ track marks
❌ worsening pigmentation
❌ long-term texture issues
❌ even scarring

And I actually see this in clinic.
People come in thinking they’ve been “treating” their skin…
But we’re now trying to fix damage that didn’t need to happen.
Professional devices cost thousands for a reason!

If all pens were the same… trust me, we’d all be buying them for £40 🙃
I’m not saying don’t look after your skin at home.

Unpopular opinion… most filler looks bad because it’s put in the WRONG place 👀
Everyone thinks lines around the mouth need filling…!

So that’s where they go straight in.
❌ More filler in the lines
❌ More heaviness
❌ More “pillow face”

But here’s the truth…
Those lines aren’t the problem….

They’re the result of volume loss higher up.
✨ In this example, just 1ml of cheek filler was used to:
• restore lost structure
• lift and support the mid-face
• soften the smile lines naturally

No overfilling. No chasing lines.
Just correcting the cause — not the symptom.

These lines here (marionette lines) can make you look like you’ve had the worst day of your life…
even when you’re just stood there minding your business 🤍

Truth is — it’s not just “a line”…
It’s:
• Cheeks dropping (thanks gravity 🙃)
• Loss of collagen (cheers ageing)
• Volume shifting downwards
• Skin getting thinner over time
So the face starts to look a bit…

⬇️ more “sad”

And THIS is where people go wrong…
❌ “Can you just fill the line?”
