This year has seen quite a change in what is described as "muscle pain".
Almost every patient seems to seek a mechanical cause for pain.
In my clinical experience, studies/research I have found with consistency that muscle joint and general aches and pains have components that are simply not explained by trigger events.
A trip and impact.
A twist
A lift
A breathing event like a week of coughing.
Teeth grinding
Sustained stressful/poor posture.
Not many people think about what has caused the tissues to be less adaptive, less flexible and slows healing and or immune response.
You could say "what are your barriers to recovery."
I have waxed lyrical about:
Magnesium and other trace minerals with out which nerve and enzymes are just-less efficient.
I have mentioned good oils, ointments and liniments to hundreds. ..and of course vitamins. particularly A B's, C.
How I wish people could see the difference that can be felt in the body by stopping completely of refined sugar, trans fats and bad oils so that the stomach, liver, gut could have a break.
Realising the methods of modulating important molecules (Nitric oxides, random oxygen species, peroxides) instead of imbuing the body with crazy levels of inflammatory foods and wondering why pain is triggered and maintained.
All I can do manually or with exercises is encourage a more refined flow and balance- which I am adept at, and can juggle symptoms really well..
For those who properly embrace the nutrients/detox methods we (the patient and I ) often see profound lasting changes.
