Which car would you choose? Skin needling (microneedling) is a calculated advanced skin treatment 🙋‍♀️

Many people don’t appreciate how the actual device doing the work really matters. Just like choosing a car to get you to your destination, you could take any set of wheels such as a Nissan or a Ferrari; but the right one gets you there quicker, safer, more comfortably and with a lot less bumps along the way 🚗 I know which car I’d be choosing if I had the choice! 🤣

Same with needling. The right device, the right depth, the right hands behind it, that’s what turns a good treatment into a great one. We just want to remind you that Dermapen Microneedling (yes, even with a proper medical-grade device) is genuinely one of the best value treatments out there for your skin 🤩

Compare it to something like CO2 laser resurfacing — you’re often looking at a much bigger price tag (+£1k per treatment), serious downtime (not leaving the house for at least a week) and more risk (you are literally burning your skin off) 🤷‍♀️👀

Thread Veins on the Nose/Cheeks & What You Need to Know 🩸😧

Ever noticed tiny red or purple veins across your nose or cheeks? These are called telangiectasia, more commonly known as thread veins or spider veins.

They happen when small blood vessels near the skin’s surface become permanently dilated — often caused by sun exposure, weather damage, genetics, ageing, alcohol, or changes in pressure within the blood vessels 😮

The important thing to know: thread veins won’t disappear on their own. Once those vessels are damaged, they stay visible, which is why so many of our clients choose to have them treated rather than cover them with make-up every day.

The good news is that our Nd:YAG laser is one of the best treatments available for facial thread veins. It penetrates deep into the skin with pinpoint precision, targeting even the tiniest vessels while leaving the surrounding skin undisturbed ✅ It’s a quick treatment with minimal downtime or disruption to your daily routine 🤩

There are SO many amazing ingredients, treatments and lifestyle changes you can incorporate to improve your skin, especially if your planning your big day 💒👰🏼♥️

But, speaking generally, if a bride has non-compromised skin and we aren’t specifically treating concerns such as active acne, acne scarring, pigmentation or other skin conditions, and I had to choose just two absolute favourites, they would be….. 🥁

✨ Dermapen microneedling — I’d recommend starting around 6–7 months before your wedding. This gives you enough time to have around 3–4 sessions, while still leaving at least 8 weeks before the big day for your skin to fully settle and for you to enjoy the results 😍

Dampen will stimulate your skin to create new skin cells and essentially encouraging it to perform like younger skin. It’s like an intense gym workout for your skin. Healthy stimulation = healthier-looking skin. Think glowing, radiant, smoother and more even-looking skin 🤩

Please choose carefully who you go to for microneedling. The device, technique and practitioner really matter 👀 Poor-quality or inappropriate devices can create uneven or excessive trauma, including tearing rather than the controlled micro-injuries we actually want. This can lead to unnecessary inflammation, irritation, prolonged healing and, in some cases, post-inflammatory pigmentation or scarring 😳❌

Microneedling is not a treatment where I would recommend simply choosing the cheapest option - you cannot risk this before your big day! 🫠

⭐️ Vitamin A — honestly, it does SO much for your skin. Think exfoliation in the best possible way, regulating oil production, helping to reduce pigmentation and slowing down collagen degradation. All of this essentially means brighter, more luminous, smoother and younger-looking skin. It’s one of my absolute favourite ingredients and one of the best products you can introduce to future-proof your skin and keep it looking healthy for years to come 🤯 continued in comments….
