**Mobility Mid Ulster AGM 2026**
Yesterday we held our Annual General Meeting at our Cookstown office, bringing together board members, staff, supporters and stakeholders to reflect on another successful year for Mobility Mid Ulster.

Our Chair, Wilbert Mayne MBE, opened the meeting and welcomed special guests Mid Ulster District Council Vice Chair, Councillor Eva Cahoon, and Erica from D Lyttle & Co, our auditors. We were delighted to receive another clean bill of financial health, highlighting the strength and sustainability of our organisation as we continue to meet growing demand for our services for over 16 years.

As a thank you to our dedicated and supportive Board Members, everyone enjoyed refreshments kindly provided by the amazing Joanne Loughrin of Bon AppΓ©tite Catering.

While there was much to celebrate, it was also a poignant occasion as it was our first AGM without our founder and ever-present supporter, Ursula Marshall. Many heartfelt memories and tributes were shared by those in attendance, reflecting the enormous contribution Ursula made to Mobility Mid Ulster and the countless lives she touched over the years.

Ursula's vision was one of inclusion, independence and active participation for people with disabilities. We remain committed to continuing that legacy and ensuring that people with mobility difficulties across Mid Ulster can continue to access the support they need to live active, connected lives.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our work. Together, we are making a difference.

Delighted to join colleagues from mobility services and Shopmobility schemes across Northern Ireland in a positive and constructive meeting with Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins MLA. We discussed the vital role these services play in supporting independence, accessibility, active travel and community participation for thousands of people across Northern Ireland.

It was particularly encouraging to hear the Minister's genuine interest in our services and her recognition of the difference they make to people's everyday lives. The Minister acknowledged the growing need for mobility support and our services, the challenges schemes face, and the importance of ensuring people can continue to access their towns, services, families and communities independently.

We greatly appreciate the support shown by the Minister and her Department, their ongoing commitment to funding, and their willingness to work in partnership to strengthen and sustain these essential services for the future. Together, we can help ensure that people with mobility challenges remain connected, active and independent within their communities

What a fantastic Disability Information Event we had yesterday!

With over 50 stallholders and 100+ attendees, the day was a real successβ€”bringing people together, strengthening connections across organisations, and creating valuable opportunities for information sharing and relationship building within our community.

We were delighted to hear from our speakers and to see such positive engagement throughout the event.

A huge thank you to PEACEPLUS Mid Ulster District Council for their support, and to our partners CWSAN and Mid Ulster Disability Forum for their collaboration in making the event possible.

Thank you also to the Community Centre for providing such an excellent venue, and to Joanne Loughrin for the lovely refreshments that were enjoyed by all.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a welcoming and meaningful day πŸ‘

We also take this opportunity to reflect on the legacy of Ursula Marshall, whose passion for inclusion continues to inspire this work and the connections formed here yesterday.
