This is your sign to pick up that old hobby again!

Here's me attempting to pick up the piano again after years of not playing properly.

If you look closely you'll find evidence of my other abandoned hobbies scattered around the room such as canvases, 2 whole units of craft supplies, Lego, and many others 🫠

Do I need a new hobby? Nope, which is exactly why I'm picking up something from the past instead.

There's something quite lovely about reconnecting with an old part of yourself.

The version of me I haven't made time for in years.

The version of me I slowly grew away from.

The version of me I've been longing to find again.

Maybe that's what this is really about. Not learning something new, or being particularly good at it, but making time for the things that make me, me.

You don't have to be good at it, turn it into a side hustle, or justify spending money and time on it. You can just enjoy it.

This is a brilliant example of how much progress can be made with an older tattoo!

Older tattoos can be easier to remove because the ink has had more time to settle and your body has already been gradually breaking down some of the pigment over the years. However, every tattoo is different, and age is just one of the many factors that can affect removal.

Things like ink colour, ink depth, tattoo placement, skin type and your body's own immune response can all influence how your tattoo responds to laser treatment.

A little reminder: Every body is different, and results like this are absolutely not a guarantee of what your own removal journey will look like. Some tattoos respond quickly, others take more sessions, and some colours can be particularly stubborn!

✨ UKAPP 2026 JEWELLERY HAUL ✨
POV: You try to have one luxurious moment and the universe says no🫠

3 weeks ago I sat down to film all the gorgeous jewellery I picked up at UKAPP 2026

Lovely little setup, beautiful pieces, my fancy camera, my fancy macro lens, so what could possibly go wrong?

Well firstly my hands were shaking because I was so nervous filming this, and it was my first time using the macro lens properly, so if a couple of shots are slightly out of focus... 🤷‍♀️
Then there's the fluffy bits on the stick holding the jewellery because that couldn't behave itself either.

And THEN, because everything prior wasn’t enough, whilst opening the pot containing Anatometal’s 14ct yellow gold trio piece, the little s**t LAUNCHED ITSELF INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION!

Then came 7 hours of searching, sobbing, calling for backup, destroying my skirting board because I was CONVINCED it had gone in there, and one ruined Sunday.

Needless to say, I wasn't exactly rushing to edit the footage to relive my trauma.

But here we are, finally edited, finally posted, and hopefully the start of many more beautiful jewellery additions to the studio.

Sometimes a tattoo is more than just another one added to the collection.

This dragon was done to represent my client's daughter.

It's also covering scars from a difficult time in her life, and I'm honoured that she trusted me to be part of that journey.

I want my studio to be a place where you can bring your ideas, your stories and talk through things you'd like to change about your body, tattoos or how you feel about them.

Whether you'd like to cover scars, give an old chapter a new meaning, or have a tattoo that makes you feel more confident in your own skin, I'm happy to talk through your ideas with you.

You don't need to have the perfect design figured out or explain your whole story, and you certainly don't need to feel embarrassed about asking.

We'll talk about what's possible, what you'd like to achieve, and create something that's meaningful to YOU.

I figured it was probably time I actually introduced myself properly.

If you've been following me for a while, you probably know me as the person who does tattoos, piercings and removes questionable life decisions with a laser.

But there is in fact, a whole human being behind Ang’s Skin Lab.

Hi, I'm Ang 👋

I'm a mum, a business owner, a tattooist, a piercer, a laser tech, a hobby collector and a girl DIY specialist.

I've spent years building my skills across piercing, tattooing and now laser tattoo removal, and I'm still learning, training and developing because I genuinely believe you never stop learning in this industry.

Ang's Skin Lab is all about:
•Fineline, watercolour and trash polka/brushstroke tattoos
•Curated piercings and gorgeous jewellery
•Level 5 laser tattoo removal
•Creating a space where you can come in, have a chat and hopefully feel completely comfortable being yourself
