Part of being a good artist is knowing when a design is better placed in someone else’s hands—and being comfortable saying so. 🖤

Today I was contacted by a lovely lady with a very special, meaningful tattoo request. I had been recommended to her! (I really love this)
I honestly felt I couldn’t do it justice and I felt it would be better suited to a traditional artist and it’s ok to say that!

We all have our own styles, strengths and areas we’re still growing in. Passing a design to an artist who’s better suited to it doesn’t take away from your talent. It shows honesty, respect for your craft and care for your client.

You don’t have to be the right artist for every tattoo to be a good artist, I’d much rather recommend another artist than saying yes to everything… knowing when to hand it over is a skill in itself.

Always be extra!! You’ll attract the right people.I much prefer having squirrels at a rave than ducks in a row 😂
