At Pharmaxo, we're passionate about helping young people explore future careers in life sciences, healthcare and pharmaceuticals. We believe work experience is about more than just time in the workplace; it's an opportunity to gain real industry insight, connect with experts, and discover what a career in our sector could look like.

From 6th to 10th July, we welcomed a fantastic group of students to Pharmaxo for our annual Work Experience Week.

The programme gives students a valuable opportunity to explore the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, gain insight into a wide range of career paths, and learn how different teams work together to support patients every day.

Throughout the week, students met colleagues from across the business, took part in interactive sessions, and gained firsthand experience of the diverse careers available within our industry.

We're delighted to celebrate a fantastic achievement from Nicholas Eggleton, who has successfully completed his MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance at The University of Manchester, graduating with Distinction.

Nick joined Pharmaxo in 2017 as an 18-year-old apprentice with a desire to learn, challenge himself and build a career that makes a positive impact. Over the past nine years, he has embraced every opportunity to develop his skills, expand his knowledge and continue his education, resulting in this outstanding achievement.

Nick has expressed his thanks to Pharmaxo for sponsoring his studies and continually supporting his professional and personal development throughout his career journey.

A special thank you also goes to the R&D team, particularly Dr Francesca Mason, whose mentorship, patience and support during Nick's research project were invaluable.

Congratulations, Nick, on this well-deserved success. Your dedication, hard work and commitment to continuous learning is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

Pharmaxo Healthcare are proud to be partnering with University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) to deliver the first community-based cancer care clinic in the West Midlands.

Located at Audley Health Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, the new clinic provides eligible patients with systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and other specialist infusion services closer to home. By bringing treatment into the community, we're helping to improve the patient experience, reduce unnecessary travel, and support NHS capacity.

For patients like Carol, who is receiving treatment at the clinic following a skin cancer diagnosis, the difference has been significant. She described the service as "fantastic", praising the welcoming team and efficient care, adding: "I would tell anyone else if they have the opportunity to come to the Audley clinic for treatment to definitely do it, it works really well."

Developed alongside West Midlands Cancer Alliance, the clinic is a great example of how collaboration can expand access to high-quality care while ensuring patients remain under the expert clinical leadership of UHNM.

Chief Commercial Officer, Alison Davis, said: "By combining our specialist nursing expertise with UHNM's clinical leadership, we are helping more patients receive high-quality treatment in a setting that is more convenient for them."

Thank you to everyone involved in making this important milestone possible.
