Two days at CCR London, bringing fresh knowledge back to the clinic. โœจ

Aesthetic medicine isnโ€™t only about treating patients. It also means continually learning, refining your skills and questioning how you can improve the care you provide.

Attending CCR gave me the opportunity to learn from industry experts, explore the latest treatments and techniques, and exchange ideas with fellow practitioners.

For me, the most valuable part is considering how that learning can support safe, thoughtful treatment and better outcomes for my patients. Every new treatment deserves careful evaluation before it becomes part of clinical practice.

Smokerโ€™s lines, also known as perioral lines, can develop through ageing and repeated mouth movements, even in people who have never smoked.

For this patient, two different dermal fillers and two complementary injection techniques were combined:

โ€ข ๐“๐ž๐จ๐ฑ๐š๐ง๐ž ๐‘๐‡๐€๐Ÿ, a softer filler, was used to treat the fine vertical lines above the upper lip
โ€ข ๐“๐ž๐จ๐ฑ๐š๐ง๐ž ๐‘๐‡๐€๐Ÿ, a slightly thicker filler, was used to provide subtle lip definition and additional support to the perioral area

The aim was to soften the lines, restore support around the mouth and preserve natural movement, without creating an overfilled appearance.

This patient came to me concerned about an ๐ฎ๐ง๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ.

After assessing her existing lip shape, asymmetry and proportions, treatment was carefully planned to improve balance and definition while maintaining a natural appearance.

Some swelling is expected immediately after lip filler, so the 2-week review gives a much better indication of the settled outcome.

The aim was not simply to create bigger lips, but to achieve a ๐ฌ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ, ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐›๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ while respecting her natural lip anatomy.

The final image shows the settled result with lipstick on.

This before-and-after shows the improvement following Hyfrecator treatment for nasal telangiectasia, using controlled electrosurgery to treat visible superficial vessels.

The aim is to reduce the appearance of these vessels while keeping treatment precise and localised.
