Why I left the NHS…
After 27 years in the NHS, I had worked my way into management and reached the top of my career. But over time, I saw first-hand how stretched and under-resourced the system had become. The NHS I once loved was deteriorating, and it became increasingly difficult to give patients the level of care they truly deserved.
After leaving, I worked as a prison nurse before moving into substance misuse services - all while building Enhance Cosmetic Solutions alongside my nursing career, offering Botox and filler treatments.
What started as a side business quickly became something far more meaningful.
For the first time in years, I felt able to give clients the very best version of myself. No restrictions, no endless processes, no barriers stopping me from delivering exceptional care and experiences. I could take my time, build genuine relationships with clients and focus fully on quality, safety and natural results.
That freedom - and the reward that came with helping people feel more confident in themselves - is what led me to leave the NHS fully in 2014 and pursue ECS full-time.
Although Enhance Cosmetic Solutions began in 2009, 2014 was the year it truly became what it is today: a business built on care, experience and a real passion for helping people feel their best. 🤍
