Did you know that screen time has an addictive response to the brain? Continued persistent use can lead the brain to release dopamine (the feel good response) when we play computer games, surf Youtube or search online

Reducing screentime to no more than 2 hours a day can dramatically improve children's mental health and is an advisory guide by the NHS to support children's well-being.

The NHS Guidelines for screen use (TV, computers, iPads, electronics) is a MAX of 2 hours a day.

Children who spend more time than this can quickly become addicted as their brain starts releasing 'feel good' hormones when they use them

Computers also work on a 'reward' system - when we achieve a new level we get a 'buzz'

Keeping you child's screen usage to less than 2 hours will dramatically improve their well-being, emotional stability and behaviour

Sometimes it is easy to blame our destructive behaviours on others...

But there's only one of us reacting in a way that affects our wider circle...

It's like hitting a house with a wrecking ball repeatedly and expecting it not to fall down...

Sometimes we need to step back and be accountable that we need some support to change those destructive behaviours
