🛑 Let’s debunk some MNVP volunteering myths! 🛑

Think volunteering with us means committing hours of your week or having a background in healthcare? Think again!

We’re breaking down the top 3 misconceptions about getting involved with Central Cheshire MNVP:

⏰ Myth 1: "It takes a lot of time."
Nope! If you only have 30 minutes a month, we can use that time to send you quick surveys or get your quick perspective on local services.

🏥 Myth 2: "I know nothing about hospitals."
That's completely okay! We don't need medical experts; we are looking for lived experience. If you or someone in your immediate family has had a baby, you are already qualified.

🧑‍🍼 Myth 3: "It’s just for mums."
Try again! We welcome mums, dads, partners, sisters, brothers, grandparents, cousins... anyone who has navigated maternity & neonatal services at Leighton Hospital.

Your voice shapes how local care looks for future families. Swipe through to see how easy it is to make an impact, and drop us a message to get started! ✨

Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that can develop during pregnancy.

It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong—it's simply your body signaling that it needs a little extra support to meet your growing needs.

While it often doesn't cause any noticeable symptoms, early detection through routine screening and careful management can significantly reduce risks for both you and your baby. Most women with gestational diabetes go on to have entirely normal pregnancies and perfectly healthy babies!

👉 Swipe through to learn about the signs, how it affects your body, and what to look out for. Never hesitate to chat with your midwife or doctor if you have any questions or concerns.

📣 Dads and partner, we want to hear from you!

Maternity and neonatal care isn't just about mums.

The journeys, observations, and support from partners play a massive role in family care, and we want those experiences reflected in how services are run.

Whether you can spare 30 minutes a month to answer a survey or want to get more involved, your voice can make a real difference for future parents.

Do you know an incredible dad or partner who would be great at helping the community?

Tag them below, or drop us a DM to find out how you can join us! 🤝

Where the dads and partners at? đź‘‹

It’s Volunteers’ Week, and we want to make sure your voices are heard!

We hear from a lot of mums and birthing people, and your experiences of watching, supporting, and navigating maternity and neonatal care matter just as much.

Can you spare 5 mins to fill in a survey? An hour to share your lived experience with us?

There is absolutely zero pressure to commit to regular hours. We work entirely around you!

Whether it’s filling in a quick survey, looking over a leaflet before it goes to print, or simply telling us what your journey was like, your insight helps shape better care for future families in Central Cheshire. ✨

📲 Interested? Slide into our DMs or contact us directly.

We would love to hear from YOU!

🍼 New Baby in the Family? Join the "Baby and Beyond" Postnatal Group!

If you’ve recently welcomed a little one, the Start for Life team in Cheshire East is running a fantastic 7-week programme designed specifically for babies aged 5–13 weeks.

It’s a wonderful way to navigate those early months, pick up some practical tips, and most importantly, connect with other local parents who are in the exact same boat.

✨ What to Expect:
Safety First: Practical home safety tips to build your confidence.
Sensory Play: Treasure baskets and activities to stimulate your baby’s development.
Bonding: Stories, rhymes, and (of course!) some messy play.
Community: A relaxed space to meet new friends and share the journey of parenthood.
