We were delighted earlier this week to make a donation to Chance Changing Lives.

Located in Crewe, Chance Changing Lives is a charity that runs a community pantry providing sustainable, affordable food and household items to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

We are thrilled to have supported such a fantastic charity and the amazing work they do in the community. Thank you to our employees for their generosity in donating to our food bank collection 💙

A huge thank you to Baywater Healthcare

On Monday, we were delighted to welcome the team from Baywater to our Community Pantry, who came along with a generous donation to support the families and individuals who use our service.

We recently put out an appeal for support from local businesses, and Baywater listened and stepped forward to help. It means so much to us when businesses choose to support their local community and recognise the difference that their contribution can make.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us to keep our shelves stocked and ensures our members continue to have access to affordable, nutritious food and the wider support they need.

Extreme heat warnings remain in place until Thursday evening, with temperatures expected to reach 39°C in some areas.

We would like to share the following best practices for using oxygen during periods of warm weather:

• Take extra care when storing and using oxygen equipment during hot weather

• Stay in shaded areas when outdoors and avoid long periods in direct sunlight

• Check your equipment daily

• Store oxygen cylinders and Liquid Oxygen in a cool, well-ventilated area

• Do not store oxygen equipment in conservatories, vehicles, or other places that can become very hot

Cylinder gauges may show slightly higher readings in hot weather due to oxygen gas expansion. Please be assured that cylinders will be delivered full and will last the same amount of time as normal. If you think there is an issue, do not use the cylinder and report it to us immediately.

Where possible, stay indoors during peak heat, increase your fluid intake, and continue to monitor your oxygen equipment throughout the day.

One of our very own Baywater Healthcare employees has secured a place at the 2026 European Sprint Distance Duathlon Championships, set to take place in Banyoles, Spain, on the 11th July 2026, marking a major milestone in a journey that began with humble beginnings at community fitness events.

Jordan, our Scheduling Manager, will compete against athletes from across Europe in the prestigious event. Baywater Healthcare are delighted to support Jordan in his journey. We have assisted Jordan with his tri suit and flights, and will be supporting him every step along the way up to and beyond his race.
