I have been keeping a secret from you….
I am incredibly proud to share that I have officially qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber 🥳🥹
Completing this qualification has been one of the greatest challenges of my career. Anyone who knows the course understands how academically challenging and gruelling it can be. I completed this course whilst balancing motherhood, running a business, and caring for a close relative who sadly passed away halfway through my studies. He would have been so proud to know I achieved this (even though we made a deal, he wasn’t allowed to get more poorly when I started the course) 🤍 Reaching this point means more to me than I can put into words, both professionally and personally.
Before I am able to prescribe within clinic, there are still formal processes to complete, including ratification of results and confirmation of my updated qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Once these steps have been finalised over the coming months, I will officially be able to prescribe in practice.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. Your patience, understanding, and unwavering support have been invaluable.
A special thank you to Claire (my assessor) Bryony (my supervisor) Kathy (the years of prescribing support ❤️) .aestheticpharmacist and my husband, who has supported me every step of the way throughout this process.
This achievement represents years of dedication, resilience, and hard work, and I am truly proud to have reached this milestone.
Most importantly, it marks a huge step forward for CEA’s future and will help reduce barriers to patient care moving forward. ✨
