How much time are you spending looking down? Where are your shoulders right now? Are they relaxed? Or are they creeping up towards your ears?
Between phones, laptops, tablets and scrolling through social media, many of us spend a surprising amount of time with our head tilted forward and our shoulders rounded.
Over time, this can contribute to feelings of tension and stiffness around the neck, shoulders and upper back.
Try the following:
✨ Drop your shoulders away from your ears.
✨ Unclench your jaw.
✨ Take a slow, deep breath.
✨ Look up from your screen and give your eyes a break.
Try to do this several times a day after periods of looking at your phone, or typing at a laptop.
If you feel you need a helping hand getting your shoulders to relax and drop then do get in touch – I have appointments available throughout September at my clinics in Crieff and Oban.
