Lots of Residents have been enjoying helping to pick and prepare our apples over August from the garden that we have made into lots of apple crumbles and cakes. This has been a fantastic activity that promotes reminiscing whilst giving a sense of purpose.

Along with our Butterfly dress, we have also been helping to make butterflies to hang around James Square during Crieff Art Festival. We joined up with Oakbank Care Home and June Mcewan this morning to make the Square look like a kaleidoscope of colour. Have a wee look next time you pass 🦋🦋

Saturday was a huge success and the weather was smashing ☀️ We celebrated outside with music, fun and laughter. We are so grateful to have raised nearly £800 for the Residents comfort fund. Thank you to everyone who donated all the amazing prizes,all the beautiful musical performances, helped make props and run the BBQ, gave up time on the day to help and to everyone that joined us to help us celebrate. We would also like to say a special thank you to our dear friend Volunteer Suezi Page who received a certificate of appreciation for her continuing support of all goings on at The Birches. We would be lost without you xx
