⚠️ Medicine recall notice.

Medicines recall: Ramipril 2.5mg capsules (Crescent Pharma Limited)

One batch of Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg capsules is being recalled as a precaution after a packaging error.

This follows a complaint which identified that, inside a sealed carton of Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg capsules, two blister strips of Ramipril 10mg capsules were found by a healthcare professional.

If you take Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg, check the packaging of your medicine for batch number GR155023. If your pack contains blister strips that are labelled as 10mg capsules, do not to take the medicine and contact your dispensing pharmacy.

If the carton contains blister strips that are correctly labelled as Crescent Pharma Limited Ramipril 2.5mg capsules, you do not need to take further action and should continue to take your medicine as usual.

If you have concerns about your medication or experience any suspected side effects, speak to your G.P. pharmacist or another healthcare professional.

If you believe that you have taken Ramipril 10mg capsules from the affected batch, please speak to your G.P. surgery, and if you are currently experiencing any side effects such as feeling lightheaded, faint or fatigued, please seek immediate medical advice.

URGENT MEDICINES RECALL NOTICE – SERTRALINE 100 mg (AMAROX)

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has issued a Class 2 recall for Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets (Amarox Limited) due to a packaging error.

Affected batch number: V2500425
Expiry date: 05/2028

Issue: Some packs may contain a blister strip of Citalopram 40 mg tablets instead of Sertraline.

What patients should do:
✔ Check the batch number on the side of your box
✔ Open the carton and check the blister strips are labelled Sertraline 100 mg
✘ If any blister strip is labelled Citalopram 40 mg, do not take it.

If you have any affected tablets, stop taking them immediately and return them to your pharmacy.

If you have taken tablets from an affected pack and feel unwell, please speak to a pharmacist, your GP or call NHS 111.

For further advice, speak to a member of our pharmacy team.

We are recruiting for Saturday staff.

Hours are every Saturday 8.30am - 12.30pm.

The role is for a Counter Assistant, taking in and handing out prescriptions, retail, stock management , clerical duties and dealing with queries.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Training is required and will be provided.

The Pharmacy is now open as normal, we are processing prescriptions as quickly as we can but we do have a lot to get through so there may be delay.

Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately the Pharmacy was broken into in the early hours of the morning, this will seriously affect our services today as the Police will not allow us to let customers into the Pharmacy until they have finished their investigations, which could be lunch time or even later.

If you do not need your prescription urgently then if it is possible to collect another day that would be a great help as customers will have to queue outside of the Pharmacy.

Deliveries will go out as normal.

Apologies for the inconvenience that this will cause, we will do our very best to be back up and running normally as soon as we are able.

The Pharmacy is now open as normal.

Unfortunately, one of the windows at the front of the Pharmacy was smashed through last night. As a result of this, the Pharmacy will be a little late opening this morning so that we can clean up the glass and damage.
We apologise for the inconvenience and we will open as soon as it is safe to do so.

We now have a courtesy car out delivering medication. Please let any neighbours and relatives know that it won’t be the usual delivery car.
I would like to say a massive thank you for all of the telephone calls, messages and people calling in to the Pharmacy this morning to offer their assistance with delivering medication.
It is so nice to see how a community pulls together when something like this happens.
It means a lot.

Unfortunately overnight, our delivery vehicle has been set alight in the car park behind the Pharmacy and is completely burnt out .

This means that we have to try and source another vehicle which takes time and will impact the most vulnerable of people in Willington and the surrounding areas who are dependant on their medication being delivered.

Deliveries today will be few and only the most urgent. It will likely be this afternoon before we get deliveries out. Please collect if you are able to, if not then please be patient and we will get to you as soon as we can but there will be a backlog this week.

If anybody has seen anything or has any information that may help, please pass this on to the Police.
