How do we keep our patients safe?

Well, one way is to ensure all of our instruments are clean and sterile. This minimises infection and cross contamination.

We have strict regulations in which we follow. Our instruments are scrubbed, placed in an ultrasonic cleaner to rid them of micro particles. They are then oiled and placed into a sterilisation pouch and sealed. Once in the autoclave, it reaches temperatures of 134° for a minimum of 4 minutes. We keep a printed copy of each sterilisation cycle.
Each instrument has a batch number, we can trace this back to the instruments used in your treatment.

We go to great lengths to ensure your treatment is safe, clean and risk free.

What does our 'Core podiatry' appointment consist of?

After a thorough medical history and all relevant assessments are completed, we start by identifying any current or potential issues.
🔹Our treatment includes nail trimming, reduction of any thickened toenails.
🔹Dry cracked heels and callus removal.
🔹We remove any painful corns.
🔹If there is a fungal infection, nails or skin, we begin a treatment plan to reduce fungal load and improve the condition of the skin.
🔹To round things off we file the whole foot and apply a luxurious and hydrating moisturiser.
If you have a more specific problem such as ingrowing toenails or verrucae, we will then improve comfort first off and discuss the best long term treatment plan for you.
