Strength training in midlife isn’t just about changing your body shape, it’s an essential part of prepping our bodies for the future. It’s one of the most powerful and important things we can do.

As we move towards menopause and beyond muscle mass decreases as does strength and bone density. Lifting weights consistently helps lessen the impact of our hormonal changes. Improving our chances of ageing healthily positively impacting our cardiovascular health and our metabolism too.

Lifting weights is also super empowering, supports our mental wellbeing and our self-esteem. Its non-negotiable!

Just One Hour incorporates strength training along with movement, play and stillness! Here’s what one client said about her first JOH session!

Just finished the first week of Just One Hour with Amy and it was brilliant. Such a thoughtful mix of yoga flow, weights, HIIT and calm stillness at the end. Clear instructions, great pacing, and really easy to follow.

As a busy mid life career woman, it felt amazing to just show up and move without having to plan anything. Amy is warm, engaging and genuinely cares about helping people feel good in their bodies. I even enjoyed the HIIT, which was a surprise. If you are looking for something structured, uplifting and doable, I would definitely recommend giving Just One Hour a go.

One of my fabulous clients is taking on a brilliant challenge to support Balloons Charity. Swimming 20miles in 7 days to celebrate 20 years of this charity that has helped so many young people.

20 miles is 3miles each day, 90mins of up and down the pool!! I COULD NOT do this!!

The other does her yoga. Moves gently. Breathes well. But she’s sitting all day in a sedentary job.

Her body craves movement.

Most of us are living too far to one side of the coin. We crave balance so I have created something for both of you.

⭐️ Training for Midlife Women
Led by Amy Blythe ⭐️

This six-week strength and movement group is for women in midlife who want to feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies again - now, and for decades ahead.

This isn’t about chasing a past version of yourself or pushing through pain.

It’s about building functional strength and healthy movement patterns that support real life: lifting, bending, balancing, walking, dancing, and moving with ease. The kind of strength that helps you feel steady, resilient, and confident through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

💚 It’s about creating the best version of you - strong, energised, empowered and grounded. 💚

We move away from “no pain, no gain”, pressure to perform, comparison and judgement. You’ll be guided in a small, supportive group (just six women) where you’ll develop strength that helps you feel steady, resilient, and confident through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

As we move through our 40s, 50s and 60s, the why behind exercise changes. It’s no longer just about how we look or how fast we go - it’s about the life we want to live.

Keeping our hearts healthy, our bones strong, our mental wellbeing resilient and our energy high, so we can stay independent and live fully for years to come.

So what do we really need in this season of life?

⭐️ Movement - freedom, flow, heart health.

⭐️ Joy - laughter, lightness, connection.

⭐️ Strength - bone health, balance, power.

⭐️ Optional cardio bursts to gently lift the heart rate.

⭐️ Followed by stillness to rest, reset, and ground.

Just one hour to strengthen your body, lift your mood, and invite your joy.
