Was using oils and lights on Buzz yesterday. He is not the easiest to be with. Over the years he has become more and more nervous around his rear end. He did have an accident before his present owner took him and seems to be feeling the effects more as he gets older. I have known him for many years and he loved his oils, herbs and lights but he has got more wary of late.
His last session was not the best from his point of view, but, I know him VERY well and I am lucky enough one of his most trusted people so I was able to push the boundaries a little and make the session as bearable as I could for him. Well, that definitely paid off as today he was back to his former self!
I started my session with giving him a groom with the steamer brush, I had put some vetiver and rose geranium in it - 2 oils he regularly selects and I hoped this would relax him.
I then offered him a selection of oils, as well as the above he favoured carrot seed and clary sage. One the oils helped to settle him I started with the weakest of my torches (I only brought red and infra red today, previously I had blue, yellow and green with me to reintroduce light without it being red which he remembers), he quickly accepted this so I moved onto my strong light, still ok, so I put the pad on him - yet another yep thats fine, so in the end we had a good session and he will be done again on Friday to continue to help him.
VETIVER - Energetically it is calming, grounding and reassuring. Good for animals who are emotionally insecure. It has many other qualities but these resonate with Buzz.
ROSE GERANIUM - Energetically it is uplifting, centering, calming. Physically it helps to reduce inflammation as well as many other things. In Buzz's case all of this is him to a 't'!
CLARY SAGE - It is relaxing - much needed both physically and mentally. It is grounding and balancing so good for an anxious Buzz. (Again, it has many other qualities but I am choosing to say what is pertenant to this animal)
CARROT SEED - I think he chose this as it is physically and emotionally nourishing. It encourages healthy tissue growth.
