Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years. A new online workshop from this excellent organisation
π¨ NEW WORKSHOP LAUNCH! π¨
Understanding Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years
Weβre excited to introduce a brand-new workshop from Behaviour Support Hub for parents and carers across Wales.
The teenage years can bring huge changes.
Growing independence.
Changing friendships.
Increased expectations at school.
Big emotions.
New pressures and social expectations.
For neurodivergent teenagers, these changes can sometimes feel overwhelming β and for parents and carers, understanding what is happening and knowing how best to help can be challenging too.
Our new Understanding Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years workshop has been created to help you make sense of some of these changes and explore practical ways to support your teenager.
During this 2.5-hour online workshop, we'll explore:
πΉ Emotional regulation, anxiety and mental wellbeing
πΉ Executive functioning and growing independence
πΉ Friendships, relationships and social expectations
πΉ Masking, identity and self-esteem
πΉ School challenges, attendance and transitions
πΉ Communication, wellbeing and practical support strategies
We'll look at the teenage years from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising that every young person is different.
