Michelle Y Wakerell - Hypnotherapy for Change

Michelle Y Wakerell - Hypnotherapy for Change Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist - helping you to make the changes that you want to make to live your best life!

Hello there,
My name is Michelle Wakerell and I am a qualified, registered and accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist. Perhaps the greatest battle we face in life is the one within ourselves, however we can win that battle......a life beyond the limitations of fear and self doubt. I have come to understand over the years that we all have amazing potential and untapped

resources within us to make the changes we want. All we need is an open mind, willingness to learn and the courage to try new ways of thinking and behaving. I am blessed to be able to both live and work from my beautiful wee “off-grid” cottage on the side of a mountain in the stunning West Highlands of Scotland. Because of this, I am able to offer therapy that is as flexible as I am, and as unique as you are. Your therapy will either be from my cottage, or out amongst the beauty that surrounds us, or a combination of the both. Alternatively you may prefer to work from the comfort of your own home online with me - many clients find this more convenient as they do not have to consider the cost or time involved in travelling - this has allowed me to work with clients from around the world. You really can live a healthier and happier life............

This week is Men's Health Week - ending on Father's Day Sunday 21st June.

Its purpose is to raise awareness specifically of men's mental and physical health.

Recent statistics show around 40% of men won't talk about their mental health with either their friends or family. Therefore, many individuals continue to suffer in silence.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, approximately 1 in 8 men struggle with mental health problems such as anxiety, stress and depression.
When left without help and support, these problems can worsen.

This is highlighted in current statistics - in the UK, 3 out of 4 su***des are men. Furthermore, su***de is the biggest killer of men under 45.

Sadly and unacceptably, men's mental health continues to remain overlooked and stigmatised.

By acknowledging and addressing this huge issue, we can encourage open conversations, enabling early intervention, and utilising the various support networks.

As always - for anyone struggling (men or women) my inbox is always open ❤️

This is so very true!

However, providing unconditional love, encouraging effort and perseverance - and helping them find their strengths and interests will help that child to grow into a strong and well balanced adult with good self esteem and awareness of self worth ❤️

If you struggle with anxiety, I am sure you will be able to identify with some of these symptoms.

However, the good news is that you really don't need to struggle!

Close your eyes right now and imagine living your life without that unnecessary anxiety………

What would you be able to do that you can't do now?

What would each day feel like for you?

How good would it be?

When working with smokers, they often tell me that smoking helps relax them. But there is not a single chemical within a cigarette that is relaxing.
In fact, it is just the opposite, it is actually a stimulant!

So why do smokers say it relaxes them?

Well, it's because firstly you take time out from whatever you are doing to have one ......and then you take a long drag and breathe in deeply.
Five minutes later after smoking the cigarette - you feel relaxed!

Instead, next time you feel stressed, why not step back and take that time out to "breathe"....

Take a deep breath in for a count of 3
Hold it for a count of 4
Release it for a count of 5
Repeat for 5 minutes

Frequently asked questions about hypnotherapy………🤔

One of the most common things I hear from potential new clients is, "I'm not sure what hypnotherapy is really like."

So in case you are curious, here are some answers to frequently asked questions -

*Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No.
You remain aware of your surroundings and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and often deep relaxation, not unconsciousness.

*Can I be made to do something against my will?
Absolutely not.
Hypnotherapy cannot make you do anything against your values, beliefs or wishes.

*What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people describe it as a really pleasant state of relaxation and deep focus, similar to being absorbed in a book or daydream.

*Can most people be hypnotised?
Yes.
Most people can experience hypnosis if they are willing to participate and follow guidance.

*What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy may help with so many issues including anxiety, stress, confidence, fears, habits, motivation, sleep difficulties and more.

How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your individual goals and circumstances. But it is not a long treatment plan - change can be achieved in only a few sessions.

*Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes.
When provided by an experienced well qualified professional, hypnotherapy is considered a safe, effective and non-invasive therapeutic approach.

Today was a Difficult Day, said Pooh.

There was a pause.

Do you want to talk about it? asked Piglet.

Pooh thought for a moment. No, I don't think I do.

That's okay, said Piglet, settling down beside him.

Pooh glanced at his friend.

What are you doing?

Nothing much, Piglet replied.

Just sitting with you.

I know what Difficult Days feel like.

Sometimes, talking doesn't help, but knowing someone's there does.

Pooh let out a small sigh and leaned just a little closer.

As the two friends sat in quiet companionship, Pooh realised-some burdens feel lighter when you don't carry them alone ❤️

I can usually help my clients resolve their fears and phobias in only 1 - 3 sessions.

How amazing is it that someone can have their quality of life affected for years and years - and then it can be resolved that quickly!

You don't need to continue to try every way you can to avoid that fear or phobia (in fact this tactic will actually make it worse).

It can be eliminated quickly leaving you to live your life as you want to live it.

Change really can be easier than you think ❤️
