Well, what a whirlwind the last few weeks/months have been💗 Following last week's official launch event, I reflect on what has happened over the last 5 months. From refurb chaos & building work challenges to finally opening the doors to my new clinic, I can honestly say this has been a labour of love - blood, sweat & definitely a few tears have gone into getting everything finished in time for last week’s launch event, & wow, what a night it was I'm so pleased - the traffic & weather did not stop it from being a great successful evening ✨

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support me, visit the clinic & celebrate this next chapter of RR Skin, Body & Laser Clinic. I genuinely felt so overwhelmed by all the lovely comments, flowers, cards & support 🫶

A special thank you to my amazing suppliers including iS Clinical, Environ, Jane Iredale & IvanMed, Sarah-Jayne & the team at Pureswiss Aesthetics, my children Sophie & Riley for helping on the day, & my lovely friend Hayley for the beautiful balloons. & of course, the biggest thank you to my wonderful clients, old & new, for continuing to support my business & trusting me with your skin. 💫

So… what’s next? First things first, I needed a tiny moment to breathe again 😅 I treated myself to a wellness day this week & honestly, it was very much needed, I am tired beyond words but the show must go on as they say! For those that know me, you’ll know I never sit still for long - I’ve already got exciting plans, including launching my brand new Mole & Skin Lesion Screening Service this month, plus researching more advanced technologies to continue helping take your skin, body confidence & wellbeing to the next level.

So what is the difference between whitheads and blackheads...? 👀 Let us explain....Whiteheads and blackheads are both clogged pores, but the difference comes down to whether the pore is open or closed.

Whiteheads happen when a clogged pore stays covered by the skin, trapping oil, dead skin cells and bacteria underneath - which is why they appear as small white or flesh-coloured bumps.

Blackheads are clogged pores that stay open to the air. Once the oil inside oxidises, it turns dark - and that’s what creates the black colour. It’s not dirt, despite what most people think!

Understanding the difference is important because treating them correctly can help prevent congestion, inflammation and future breakouts without damaging your skin barrier.

WINNNER ANNOUCEMENT.... yesterday's launch open evening went so well 💫 (more info on that coming shortly..) so overwhelmed by the love and support from family, friends and most importantly - my clients and some new ones too..!! 💕 A huge thank you to everyone who came and who bought a raffle ticket at the launch event and helped support such an important cause. Together we raised £90 for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity very close to my heart.. 💙
