🥳🥳🥳 Learning Disability Week 🥳🥳🥳

This week is one big celebration!!!! Celebrating our students and all of their different talents, skills, abilities and how each individual strives to meet their goals!

We opened our doors today, and will for the rest of the week, to you all and we want to thank the people who did visit today!

We have our students ready to welcome you and talk to you about themselves and us and give you the all important guided tour! A big thank you to Maggie and Alan who were our hosts today!

Today we enjoyed:
⚽️ enjoyed football based sensory activities
🖼️ a variety of tables set up with various different sensory resources, tools and activities
💡 opened up our amazing sensory room
🫖 a walk, cups and chat at our local cafe
🏊 our swimming lesson with Jess
🥎 played games in the garden
🪴 enjoyed gardening and taking care of our beautiful garden
🗣️ had time to talk to friends and share our news and things important to us
💪🏻 had gym sessions in our own gym

This week please join us everyday for our open week!
You can look forward to an action packed week including a:
💃 dance display at 1:30 on Thursday
🍔 a bbq and video presentation on Friday!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friday Update ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friday is here and wow do we need a rest this weekend after such an action packed and fun week!!!!

This week and today we have:
🐐 visited Buttercups Goat sanctuary where we spent time with the most amazing goats, fed them and had a yummy picnic of our own!
💅 had lots of pampering and our nails done
🧑‍🍳 had lots of cookery sessions including shop, cook and eat
📚 had key skills sessions including fantastic money skills sessions
🚆 continued our amazing train project
⚽️ enjoyed a football fever session and lots of World Cup fun and games
📰 had our much loved news round where we can share news important to us with all of our friends
🖼️ had arts and crafts sessions
💪🏻 had gym sessions and exercise classes
🪴 spent lots of time outside and out and about in the community
🧩 enjoyed puzzles and games

We made a shopping trip fun today, our task was to find a funny hat and glasses, we also found some bags 🤣🤣

All Directions proudly presented Ben, Lisa and Lisa with certificates for students of the month for the month of May and to Lee for volunteer of the month!
These awards are for kindness shown to others and for how helpful they have been!
Well done superstars, forever proud of you all!

It may have been a grey, rainy day but we were certainly sunny and warm in spirit today at All Directions!

Our usual marvellous Monday included:

⚽️ a football themed sensory morning with football songs and football games in preparation for the World Cup starting this week 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
🚶 a walking group to enjoy some fresh air and exercise
💡 sensory sessions in our amazing sensory room
☕️ a walk,cuppa and a chat
💪🏻 gym sessions in our very own gym
🗣️ time to talk in our cosy sensory space
🏊‍♀️ swim sessions at Fairfield swimming pool
📕 key skills sessions
🧖 health matters group to discuss keeping healthy bodies and minds
🙌 helping staff in the tea room, kitchen and with DIY

Wow, what a way to set us up for a successful, healthy, active, educational and fun week!!

How is it Friday already? This week seems to have flown by… probably because of all the fun we’ve had!!

This week and today we have:
🎨 used recycled materials for arts and crafts
🚆 continued our amazing train project
👞 continued to learn how to tie shoe laces
📚 had key skills and money skills
🧑‍🍳 had our sensory cooking session and made a carrot cake to use up our carrots 🥕
🪴 visited Woodland Garden Centre
🍟 enjoyed fish and chip Friday 😋
💪🏻 enjoyed gym sessions and exercise classes
👏 supported staff with different jobs like shopping at Bookers
📰 had our much loved News Round
🧖 enjoyed a wonderful pamper morning
🗣️ had time to talk
🧑‍🌾 enjoyed gardening and looking after our lovely gardens
🥎 played garden games

Another lovely warm Monday and another amazing day of learning, fun, talking and friends!
We hope you’ve all had an amazing Monday!

Our Monday was amazing because today we:

💡 explored reef awareness day and went under seas in our amazing sensory room
📚 went to the library and for a cuppa and a chat after
🎳 played games in the garden
🪴 did some gardening and watered the garden
👩‍🍳 our shop, cook 👩‍🍳 and eat group went shopping and cooked their own pizzas for lunch
🗣️had time to talk in our special seated gazebo area
