🖤🔮 SPELLBOUND UPDATE 🔮🖤

As many of you know, we suffered a really bad flood which resulted in our ceiling collapsing, and we’ve now been closed for three weeks.

Although repairs have been carried out, there are still outstanding issues with the electrics and roof structure that need to be addressed.

I’ve been inundated with messages asking what’s happening, so I want to be as honest with you all as I can. We’re currently at a crossroads: do we continue with the repairs and hope for no further disruption over winter, or accept the landlord’s offer of a mutual lease termination and look for a new home for Spellbound?

This is such a difficult decision, especially with October being my favourite month and so many spooky things planned, including our October Moot! 🕯️🖤

There aren’t many suitable properties available in Darvel at the moment, so we’re carefully weighing up our options. All I want is to get Spellbound back up and running as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, we won’t be open this Wednesday, but I’m hoping to have a definite update for you all by then.

Thank you for all your love, patience and support. I’m trying to stay positive and remind myself that sometimes a new chapter can come from the most unexpected circumstances.

Spellbound isn’t giving up — we’re just figuring out our next chapter. 🖤✨

Still waiting on an opening date so sorry to anyone we haven’t got back to yet it’s been all go behind the scenes to get open again. This months moot will still be on but I am unsure of the date yet promised I will update as soon as I know more x

We are still closed but really hoping to have some good news by Friday 🤞 we are missing everyone and can’t wait to get back to it. Thank you so much to everyone who’s offered help and checked in to see how we are it is very much appreciated 🖤

🖤 TEMPORARY CLOSURE – SPELLBOUND 🖤

We’re absolutely devastated to let you all know that Spellbound will be closed for the next couple of days due to flooding and significant water damage.

We arrived this morning to find that part of our ceiling had collapsed after water came through the roof. Unfortunately, as the day went on, the water damage also caused a power outage, and different parts of the roof are leaking leaving us with no option but to temporarily close.

We now need time to properly assess the damage, repair the roof, make the building safe and get everything back up and running.

We are extremely upset — Spellbound means so much to us, and seeing the café like this has been heartbreaking. 💔

Please know we are already working as quickly as we possibly can to rectify the issue and get our doors back open.

We’ll keep everyone updated and let you know as soon as we have a reopening date.
