Home Instead - North Oxfordshire Home Instead provides tailor-made, flexible care at home for older adults to enable greater independ

Home Instead is recognised as one of the UK’s leading home care organisations; our office is run by Graham and Elaine Holtom. We both have personal experience of elderly care, through family members either needing care or working in the industry, as well as Elaine’s lifelong nursing career - both in a hospital setting and through District Nursing. These experiences have given us a practical unders

tanding of the need for quality care with compassionate tailor made support..

“Our philosophy is simple; to provide a high quality service which will enable older people to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible, whilst improving their quality of life”

As part of Home Instead we are an award-winning homecare provider offering a wide range of non-medical services to help seniors and their families feel secure, confident and enjoy life. Our services include home-help and companionship, through to personal and dementia care. Because we care we operate to the highest standards – but don’t just take our word for it. A recent survey from the UK’s leading healthcare information specialist (Laing and Buisson) revealed Home Instead is England’s leading homecare provider, achieving the highest Care Quality Commission compliance scores among all the homecare branches across the country (covering over 8000 services). We strive to find out what is important to you as well as what is important for you. Our commitment to our clients and their families is very simple – and we mean it. They will receive the care they want, when they want it and delivered by whom they want. In order to make this happen, among other things,

· our quality procedures have been developed to meet our care aspirations and not just to comply with regulation. They are in excess of regulatory requirements and are regularly verified through audit and spot checks.

· we provide all our staff with a great deal of support and training which is regularly updated.

· our CAREGivers are subject to a rigorous selection procedure where we assess their motivation, compassion, reliability and empathy. They are also required to provide six references and attend a four day induction training process prior to meeting a client.

· the relationship between our clients and their CAREGivers are critical and we closely match interests ensuring that they have things in common.

· we guarantee that clients are introduced to their CAREGivers before care starts so that clients will never have a stranger coming to their home to give care.

· our client to CAREGiver ratio is very low. Each of our CAREGivers has few clients with whom they spend a good deal of time so that a genuine relationship can develop. Our minimum visit time is one hour and we can also provide certainty around times of visits. We will be pleased to visit you at home to talk through how we can help or alternatively you are more than welcome to pay us a visit at our office in Deddington for a cup of tea and a chat. Whether you are interested in discussing your specific care at home needs or joining us as a CAREGiver, please give us a call on 01295237237.

It’s the shopping becoming harder. Meals feeling like more effort. The bedding not being changed as often. Fewer trips out. Fewer familiar routines.

A little help with the day-to-day can make life feel easier, safer and more enjoyable, while helping Mum stay in the home she loves.
