It’s a great way to explore a new place, get your steps in, and set yourself up for the day ahead. Staying active doesn’t have to mean spending hours in the gym.

Pre workout snack of the gods 🙌

🍞 Jason’s protein sourdough

🍯 A drizzle of honey

I’ve been asked what’s good to eat before working out…

A good pre-workout snack should be easy to digest and give your body the fuel it needs to perform.

Some other great pre-workout options are:

✔️ Greek yoghurt with berries and honey
✔️ Oats with banana and cinnamon
✔️ Rice cakes with peanut butter and banana
✔️ A protein shake with a piece of fruit
✔️ Toast with eggs and avocado
✔️ A bagel with peanut butter and jam

The key is to include a source of carbohydrates for energy and protein to support muscle recovery and performance.

✅ Carbohydrates (banana, honey, sourdough) provide energy for your workout and help you train harder for longer.

✅ Protein helps support muscle maintenance and recovery.

✅ Healthy fats from the peanut butter can help keep you satisfied, especially before longer training sessions.

I usually aim to eat something like this around 60–90 minutes before training and make sure I’m hydrated too.

Remember, there’s no perfect pre-workout meal—what works best is what gives you energy, sits well on your stomach, and helps you perform at your best.

We are busy behind the scenes organising our 24-Hour Fitness Challenge to raise money in support of Rupert’s Rainbow.

The event will feature a full 24-hour timetable packed with activities including circuits, lift and tone, gymnastics, stretching, and much more!

As part of our fundraising efforts, we will be holding a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to support Rupert’s Rainbow.

We are currently looking for raffle prizes and would be incredibly grateful for any donations from local businesses. Donations can be products, vouchers, experiences, or services—every contribution will help us raise even more for this amazing cause.
