Ever wondered how tattoos work?
When we tattoo the skin we’re aiming to interact with the layer of skin called the dermis, this layer is where the pigment gets attached to the melanin causing the skins natural pigment to be changed to the desired colour.
If the ink is injected into the first layer of the skin (epidermis), the ink won’t stay, and if it is injected into the third layer of the skin (hyperdermis), the ink will spread and cause what we call a ‘’blow out’’.
