Some tattoos mark a moment in time. And sometimes, life moves on.

When first approached me he wasn’t sure I’d take it on β€” he didn’t know if I worked on cover-ups or stuck to custom characters. What he did know is that he liked my work. That meant a lot.

After carrying these tattoos for decades, I couldn’t have been more honoured to help Andy bring his new vision to life. Two arms. Two cover-ups.

One consultation later and we had the plan β€” two landmarks deeply personal to Andy, executed in stylised colour realism. A style that sits outside my usual world, but one I embraced completely.
These pieces pushed my approach, pushed my style, and pushed me as an artist. With Andy’s trust, a lot of care, and the time these deserved β€” I couldn’t be more grateful.

Watching him walk away with work he can truly be proud of means a lot.

I don’t reach for watercolour all that often, usually I’m working in oils, acrylic, ink or markers. Yet this one felt like I needed to enjoy the flow of watercolour painting.

Mission Squirrepossible - The Crown Jewels 🐿️

Done for my Dad, I had such a fun time doing this tiny thief going for his life goal, β€˜the great acorn’.

Before I came into tattooing me and my dad worked together most my life, from the printers as a kid to him joining me in Arboriculture later down the line. So when he came to me with the idea of a red squirrel & an element of the British countryside we had worked in together, I knew it was going to be a special one.
