‘The Green Man’ is a widely recognized, mysterious folklore figure, commonly depicted in medieval European church architecture, Symbolizing nature, rebirth, and spring, this “foliate head” represents the cycle of growth and the wild, often linked to pagan fertility rites or, in Christian contexts, as a symbol of resurrection and regeneration. I genuinely really enjoy tattooing this kind of tribute to ancient culture and modern paganism, it was fun to learn about and I could talk about the stuff for hours. I’m not the perfect artist for everyone, and if you don’t get the right feel from me that’s 100% ok, you should feel comfortable and confident with your artist. Sitting with them for hours on end would suck if it was awkward silence the whole time!
