✨ A whole day dedicated to your wellbeing at The Coach House Health and Wellness Centre, Alfreton ✨

This is the second year of collaborating with the wonderful Lisa and we can't wait for this next one.
Lisa's wellness centre in Alfreton is a real sanctuary and offers a warm, welcoming escape from the daily rush.
At this years Summer day retreat, after welcoming drinks, you can experience ... Forest Bathing and Somatic Yoga under the trees.
A lovely lunch and tasty treats.
Mindful craft to take home as a reminder of our day.
Guided hand massage with essential oils
Guided mediation whilst relaxing on blankets and cushions
Sound Bath for deep relaxation
Time to reflect in a closing circle

Whilst there is lots to help you relax throughout the day, nothing is rushed. There will be time for quiet and reflection and time for connection and laughter.
Group size is kept to a maximum of 8 for a supportive and intimate atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

If life has felt busy lately, this is an opportunity to press pause for a while, breathe deeply and take some time for just you. ✨
Please message to book.

You don’t have to be in a forest to practice Forest Bathing!

Spending time in a woodland does have its own special benefits - The trees create a sense of being held, and it can feel easier to step away from the noise, busyness and distractions of everyday life.

But connecting with nature doesn’t have to wait until you’re in a forest.

It can happen in a local park, along a footpath across a field, on your dog walk, or in your own garden.

The next time you have a few spare minutes, try slowing down and really noticing what’s around you.

🍃 Listen to the sounds of nature. The breeze moving through leaves, birdsong, buzzing insects, or even the sound of your own breath as you stand quietly.

🍃 Notice textures. Run your fingers gently over a leaf, the bark of a tree, a feather, or the grasses growing beside the path.

🍃 Breathe in the scents around you. Fresh earth after rain, wildflowers, herbs, cut grass, or warm summer air.

🍃 Look closely at something you’ve walked past hundreds of times before. Notice the colours, patterns and tiny details.

Sometimes five minutes of slowing down and paying attention is enough to help you feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to the natural world around you.

Do you have a favourite place in nature where you feel able to slow down and really take notice?

Adults, children, families ... plenty of reasons to still join us in the woods this month!
Take a look and reserve your place for some moments of calm, moments of connection or moments of adventure - what will you choose?
If there's something that you'd like us to offer in the woods that we don't do at the moment, we'd love to hear your suggestions, we do take your ideas on board do what we can to make it happen.

Women gathering in the woods, to breathe, to experience, to share, to make, nourish themselves.

A beautiful time in the woods today; First, gathering for introductions, settling and a hot drink then time to explore more of the woodland to experience forest bathing; preparing and cooking together around the campfire- today we cooked spiced vegetables and warmed pittas which were served with salad and sour cream- followed by more time to explore and make - we bound paper and recycled card to make notebooks and filled them with woodland textures using a simple print technique; gathering around the fire to end with intention setting. All this at a lovely slow pace and with gentle suggestions and space.

This lady understood the assignment!
Lying in a hammock can get surprisingly chilly!

Whilst everyone had a blanket, this clever lady brought:
A pillow
A blanket
A sleeping bag
Wore lots of layers
Result: cosy and relaxed for the hammock meditation.

If you’re booked on to a Forest Bathing and Hammock Meditation session, bring along whatever will help you have that cosy hammock feeling.
But in case you forget - I’ll always have some spare blankets! 😊

FOUR PLACES NOW AVAILABLE: Due to postponing this evening's Stomp & Chomp we now have 2 places available for next Thursday.

Sadly not everyone could make the new date, so if you missed out before, now's your chance to snap up these two places.

Join us at the fire pit area in the woods for some campfire food before heading off on a guided walk where the focus this month will be on the industrial history of the woodland.
New Date: Thursday 18th June, 6:30pm-9pm

IMPORTANT: This evening’s Stomp & Chomp has been postponed until next Thursday. Those of you who are booked on, please check emails for information about transfer or refund.
Sadly the weather forecast would have turned this into more of an endurance test rather than an enjoyable guided walk!!
